New smart-phone apps for iPhone and Android users are debuting, with interactive film guides, information on enjoying the festival, and exclusive content.

Word travels fast, especially since technology has opened new ways to connect and tell stories. Sundance Institute is testing new platforms to help filmmakers reach audiences and to aid new audiences in discovering independent film. With a shift in the way media is consumed, the institute has broadened its coverage on the Internet, in the blogosphere, and in the digital world.
