Tops O' the Mornin'

It’s been said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And whatever the day has in store — from skiing in serious powder to seriously kicking back — there are plenty of local eateries that specialize in breakfast. Here’s a sampling of some of Park City’s finest, serving up eggs, pancakes and more, seven days a week.

The Eating Establishment (317 Main Street. Breakfast is served daily from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. 435.649.8284).As Park City’s oldest full-service restaurant, the Eating Establishment, or the “Double E,” has been serving up morning coffee and breakfast since 1972. Their legendary Miner’s Dawn entrée — a skillet of seasoned potatoes and melted cheddar topped with basted eggs — has earned national acclaim. Customers also crave the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs as well as the Eggs Benedict. In a hurry to hit the slopes? Visit the Easting Establishment Resort Express, located at the base of Park City Mountain Resort. Breakfast is served daily from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. during ski season.

The Hungry Moose Pub & Grill (438 Main Street. Breakfast served daily from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. 435.649-8800). While the Hungry Moose has moved from their Park City Mountain Resort location to Main Street, the breakfast menu still features famous entrées like the Jumbo Breakfast Burrito — a hearty combination of scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese and bacon, ham or sausage — a skier’s favorite.
