Top 5 Places to Bust a Move
With last call at 12:30 a.m. and a Main Street geared more toward live music, Park City’s not necessarily a place to dance until dawn. Besides, after an exhilarating day on the slopes, most visitors can barely tip a beer glass, let alone do the Hustle. For the Energizer Bunnies out there, however, c
1. Harry O’s (435.647.9494, 573 Main Street)
Saturday night is the night for rave music and skinny chicks in skimpy outfits regardless of the season. Check The Park Record or The E.A.R. for a schedule of guest DJs.
2. Cisero’s (435.649.5044, 306 Main Street)
Count on Wednesdays and Saturdays to pack the dance floor with a diverse mix of older locals and tourists. This is a great place to scope out a cute ski instructor for personal attention, on the slopes and off.
3. The Spur (435.615.1618, 350-1⁄2 Main Street)
Not your average dance club, The Spur is one of those places where it’s you and five of your best friends jumping up and down on the dance floor as you sing along to the local cover band.
4. Plan B (801.359.0637, 268 Main Street)
Tucked behind a set of steps, and down another, at the top of Main Street, Plan B feels like an underground party for ski bum locals. If you are under 25 and it’s Friday night, this is your scene. The weekly $1 drink night brings in all the discount seekers for a slamming (as in tequila) good time.
5. Club Suede (435.658.2665, Ute Boulevard, Kimball Junction)
Go West, Young Man, if you still need more dance choices. Head toward Kimball Junction, a mere 10 minutes away. You don’t even need a car. Get a FREE ride to and from Suede in the Suede Shuttle. Just call 435.640.8488 and they’ll pick you up. Suede features lots of touring acts. Be sure to check the schedule. If it’s a weeknight and there’s no touring band, this funkified lounge can be quite uncrowded.
