Inside Out
An outdoor fireplace warms customers at Main Street’s Easy Street Brasserie.
Elizabeth in Oakley says of her fire pit, “I use the fire pit all year round. In the summer, I like to eat dinner outside. When the night gets cooler, it’s nice to light up the fire and have desert and coffee around it and feel cozy. But even in winter, on a full moon night, it’s great to sit outside by the crackling fire, toasting sausages and sipping a hot toddy.”
This firepit was a family project, with grandmother and grandson digging the hole itself. The firepit is lined with volcanic rock.
