The Canyons boasts over 3,700 acres with 163 trails, 17 lifts and 2 terrain parks, making it Utah’s largest ski and snowboard resort area. Surrounding the resort are 5 world-class lodges (several more are under construction) along with many restaurants, shops, services and après-ski diversions. Located 10 minutes from Main Street and 5 minutes from Kimball Junction, it is also close to all that Park City has to offer.
During the summer, The Canyons is a great place for hiking, biking, disc golf and horse back riding. The ridge trail along the top of the resort has some of the best views in the area. More relaxed activities include riding the Cabriolet, or taking the gondola up to mid mountain where you can have lunch at Red Pine Café.
“Of all the resorts in the state, the most distinctive must be The Canyons. The Canyons is five distinct ski areas encompassed into a single resort. Its unique topography and variety of offerings separates it from many of the other mountains in Utah. If you want to get a taste of everything in one single resort, The Canyons might be your best choice.
Each of its areas provides a unique component of snowboarding and skiing. From delicate glades of trees to open bowl skiing, The Canyons has it all. Their five different areas feel like a menu of choices where you get to select your favorite. With this kind of variety, a visitor could get spoiled.
To provide their visitor with the entire vacation experience, The Canyons has developed a large area at the base of the resort that hosts a large variety of shops, restaurants, and bars, plus their beautiful new lodges. They host concerts and special events and have worked hard to make their base area a hub of activity.
In all, The Canyons provides its guests with the complete ski vacation. A large mountain, great variety of terrain, vibrant activities, and amazing mountainside hotels are all part of the experience. If you are seeking all the elements for a unique vacation experience, look no further than The Canyons.”
