Nothing is more satisfying on a warm summer’s day than savoring a favorite frozen treat, and luckily Park City and the Heber Valley host a variety of neighborhood shops that offer icy delights. Check out the following spots for some local flavor!
Park City’s Java Cow is an Old Town staple. Pop into this café and bakery for coffee, lunch, a pastry, or, of course, some of the best locally made ice cream in Summit County.
402 Main St, 435.647.7711
A little-known treasure in town is the small gelato counter in the back of La Niche, a cookware boutique/gift shop. Here you’ll find eight different flavors of gelato made locally by an Italian master of the craft. The pistachio is a favorite. 401 Main St, 435.649.2372
Also in Park City, national chains Rocky Mountain Chocolate (510 Main St or 1385 Lowell Ave, 435.649.0997) and Coldstone Creamery (6030 Market St, 435.575.0287) offer delicious ice cream.
Yobar in Heber City is a frozen yogurt haven with revolving flavors and plentiful self-serve toppings. There is also a drive-thru coffee and smoothie booth out front, so don’t panic if your server suddenly sprints out the door to cater to a four-wheeled patron at the window. 95 S Main St, Heber City, 801.834.3341
The Fill’er Up Coffee Station in Midway serves up premium ice cream with a festive vibe. This renovated gas station from the 1930s proudly uses local Utah vendors for all of its products, which include coffee and pastries. 201 E Main St, Midway, 435.657.2700, fillerupcoffeestation.com
On Main Street in Heber City is Spin Café, which whips up its own gelato fresh each morning. This Italian confection is so delicious that you’ll never believe it has half the calories and fat of premium ice creams. 220 N Main St, Heber City, 435.654.0251, spincafe.net
