PARK CITY LIMITS, AT SILVER STAR CAFÉ
The Silver Star Café is launching an acoustic music series featuring local, regional and national acoustic musicians and singer-songwriters. “Park City Limits, at Silver Star Café” will be offered each Friday night from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. as an alternative listening option for music enthusiasts who prefer listening to great acoustic music outside of the typical bar or nightclub environment. Silver Star Café offers a rustic, intimate and comfortable setting that is unique in Park City, with easy access and plentiful free parking.
Silver Star Café will offer their regular dinner menu from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., and music begins at 8:00, so later Café dinner guests can enjoy the music while finishing their meal, and others can come to enjoy the music as their after-dinner or evening entertainment. A simple menu of snacks, light fare and desserts will be available after the dinner menu ends, along with the Café’s selection of beer, wine, coffee drinks and soft drinks.
“Park City Limits” is an extension of Silver Star Café’s popular “Plaza Palooza” free community concert series, held outdoors on the Silver Star plaza on Thursday evenings in the summer months. Café owners Jeff and Lisa Ward want to continue supporting musical artists, and offering a place for great acoustic music in the winter, using the intimate indoor Café space as a venue.
“Many of us love to hear great live music, but may not necessarily be partial to the bar scene, so this provides an alternative venue for both music lovers and artists who want to play outside of a bar environment,” said Café co-owner Jeff Ward. “Think of it as us hosting a weekly house concert.”
Silver Star Café is excited to feature great acoustic music ranging from folk, bluegrass and blues to gypsy jazz or even classical guitar, and will support exceptional music talent from Park City and northern Utah, as well as national touring artists when possible. Based on response from the public, the “Park City Limits” series may continue into the summer months.
