Clown Day 2008

Every April 1st there is an unofficial celebration called Clown Day at Park City Mountain Resort. Those in the know hit the slopes dressed up in wigs, face paint and funky outfits, typically gathering at the bars in the resort village afterwards for some ski boot dancing. Good times, good times!  Photos courtesy of Rachel Scott. Click on the photos to see enlarged views.

Publicity is what killed Clown Day in the 80's. It got too big for its britches and a bit out of hand to say the least. As a result there was a decade long ban, the "clown clause" on our ski passes. Clown Day now living stealthy underground. Please help keep it that way. Thanks, from a long time clown.
